About HRI Rwanda
Health and Rights Rwanda (HRI) is a grassroots civil society organisation founded in Rwanda with a bold mission: to ensure every adult — regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or background — lives free from stigma, discrimination, and human rights violations.
We were born from the community, shaped by lived experience, and driven by an unwavering belief that dignity and equality are not privileges — they are rights.

From legal literacy to safe spaces, HRI offers holistic support for those whose rights have been denied or undermined.
Rights Awareness
We conduct workshops and legal literacy sessions for adults across Rwanda — helping people understand their rights, know the law, and speak up against violations. Special focus is given to communities facing stigma based on sexual orientation.
